One of the problems people have when upgrading their operating system is finding the drivers they need after they have already upgraded. This can be tricky to do especially if your computer is having issues after the upgrade is complete. The key here is to be prepared with the device drivers you will need after you upgrade your operating system before you complete your upgrade. DriverMD’s Easy Migrator tool makes this easy to do.
Easy Migrator allows you to download the device drivers you will need and burn them to a cd or external drive before you upgrade your operating system. It does this by scanning your computer devices, and searching for the device drivers you will need from our database of over 20 million drivers. Once you have a burned copy of the drivers you can easily upgrade to the next version of windows and then have the new drivers at your fingertips ready to install.
So, here’s how it works. Easy Migrator lets you choose your destination operating system from the drop down box in the application. Click on this arrow to see a list of operating system options. Scroll down the list and locate the operating system your going to upgrade to and select it from the list. I’m going to upgrade to windows 7.
Click on next and now Easy Migrator is going to scan your computer devices and search for the device drivers you will need to update from our database of over 20 million drivers.
Easy Mirgrator will then show you how many devices will need driver updates after I upgrade to windows 7, some of the drivers may apply to more than one device like it says here.
Now, click on the next button, Easy Migrator will now download all the drivers you will need.
You get to choose how and where you would like to backup these drivers so you can have them available after your operating system upgrade is complete.
You can either burn them to a cd, copy them to external media, like a harddrive or flash driver or select none to bypass the backup option at this time. I’ve selected external media and will browse and create a new folder to copy all of the new windows 7 device drivers I will need.
Then, after I upgrade to Windows 7, I can search for that folder on my external harddrive and install the updated device drivers that I need and my computer will be working good as new.
That’s it!! DriverMD’s Easy Migrator tools helps you to make your operating system upgrade as painless as possible.
