Updating PC Drivers After Operating System Upgrade

You can either burn them to a cd, copy them to external media, like a harddrive or flash driver or select none to bypass the backup option at this time. I’ve selected external media and will browse and create a new folder to copy all of the new windows 7 device drivers I will need.

Then, after I upgrade to Windows 7, I can search for that folder on my external harddrive and install the updated device drivers that I need and my computer will be working good as new.

The computer monitor icon shows all system drivers, these drivers do not need to be updated, they were installed by the operating system.

The disk icon is the download button for that particular driver.  click on that icon to connect to our database of over 20 milliong drivers and start downloading the driver you want to install.

The medical icon represents installation options and Click on the question mark icon to ask DriverMD support staff a question about the selected driver or If you have a problem or a question about a specific driver you can ask DriverMD support staff for help.

Now that I’ve showed you the legend, I’ll click on the check box to expand the driver details section.

Under the driver details section, here, you can see a list of all of my drivers and their current status.  I’m going to sort my drivers so I can view those drivers that are out of date, here, using this drop down menu.  The first driver I want to look at is for my hard drive controller, I can click on the driver and see various details including a description of the driver, the manufacturer of the device, date and version of the current driver.  There is also information about the updated driver version here.  In addition there are 2 more tabs for this driver, more device information and additional content on this driver.

This is the driver I would like to update, so I’m going to click on the small disk icon here, and start the download.
